CAUTION
Make sure hoist plug threads are clean and free of debris. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
4.
Apply antiseize compound to threads of hoist plug (Figure 18, Item 2).
WARNING
Make sure hoist plug swivels freely, without loosening connection, when attached to drill
rod. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in
the event of an injury.
5.
Install hoist plug (Figure 18, Item 2) in drill rod (Figure 18, Item 3).
6.
Push main winch control lever (Figure 19, Item 4) forward to raise lower drill rod (Figure 19, Item 1) up until
top of tooling joint (Figure 19, Item 2) is approximately 0.5 in. (13 mm) above top of fork (Figure 19, Item 3).

7.
Set and hold FORK switch (Figure 19, Item 5) in up position to retract fork (Figure 19, Item 3).
