DERRICK DOES NOT RAISE/LOWER PROPERLY - WWDR - Continued
MALFUNCTION
Hydraulic oil cold.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
NOTE
Hydraulic functions may be sluggish and/or not operate properly until fluid has
reached correct operating temperature.
1.
Start engine (Volume 1, WP 0012) and place ROAD/RIG MODE switch to RIG MODE position
(Volume 1, WP 0017).
2.
Run engine and wait to use hydraulic functions until hydraulic oil sight/temperature gauge reads
a minimum of 75F (24C).
a.
If hydraulic functions operate, but derrick does not raise or lower, proceed to next
MALFUNCTION - Lock pins not in RETRACT position.
b.
If hydraulic functions do not operate, notify maintenance.

Lock pins not in RETRACT position.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Verify lock pins are in RETRACT position (Volume 1, WP 0017).
a.
If lock pins are in EXTEND position, set LOCK PINS switch to RETRACT position and
verify both lock pins are retracted (Volume 1, WP 0017).
b.
If lock pins are not in RETRACT position, notify maintenance.
