MALFUNCTION
Air leak present.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
WARNING
Do not use hands or other body parts to check for air leaks. High
pressure air can cut through skin and high temperature air can burn skin.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek
medical attention in the event of an injury.
Do not operate vehicle when primary or secondary air pressure is below
70 psi (483 kPa). Brakes will not operate properly when air pressure is
below 70 psi (483 kPa). Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
1.
Inspect vehicle air lines and fittings for air leaks (WP 0198).
2.
Shut down engine (Volume 1, WP 0012).
a.
If one or more air lines and/or fittings has an air leak, notify maintenance.
b.
If no air leaks are found, notify maintenance.
