Set TOP SLIDE switch (Figure 3, Item 7) to right position to move tophead (Figure 3, Item 2) over drill rod
(Figure 3, Item 5).

7.
Pull ROTATION control lever (Figure 3, Item 9) back slightly to begin rotation of the tophead
(Figure 3, Item 2).
WARNING
Make sure drill rod is fully locked into tophead. Drill rod could come loose and fall. Failure
to comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of
an injury.
8.
Pull FAST FEED control (Figure 3, Item 8) back gently to lower tophead (Figure 3, Item 2) until it enters into
female opening of drill rod (Figure 3, Item 5) and is fully seated.
9.
Pull ROTATION control (Figure 3, Item 9) back to align tooling joint (Figure 3, Item 4) with tophead mounted
wrench (Figure 3, Item 3).
10.
Push foot switch (Figure 3, Item 6) with foot to engage tophead mounted wrench (Figure 3, Item 3).
