TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE IS PRODUCING BLUE/BLACK SMOKE - MCS
SYMPTOM
Engine producing abnormal smoke.
MALFUNCTION
Air filter clogged.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Perform air filter servicing (WP 0220).
a.
If air filter is dirty, service air filter (WP 0220).
b.
If air filter is not dirty, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Improper engine oil level.
MALFUNCTION
Improper engine oil level.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Inspect engine oil level (WP 0226).
a.
If engine oil level is within specifications, notify maintenance.
b.
If engine oil level is low, add oil until proper engine oil level is achieved (WP 0226).
c.
If engine oil level is too high, notify maintenance.
