ENGINE BECOMES EXCESSIVELY HOT AND TEMPERATURE WARNING SYSTEM ACTIVATES - MCS
SYMPTOM
Engine overheating.
MALFUNCTION
Low coolant level.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
WARNING
An overheated engine is very hot and under extreme pressure. Allow engine to
cool down and use extreme caution when removing radiator cap since
pressurized steam can present a safety hazard. Failure to comply may result in
injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Allow engine to cool and check engine coolant level (WP 0200).

If coolant is low, service engine coolant (WP 0227).
b.
If coolant is not low, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Radiator restricted.
