TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE DOES NOT CRANK - MCS
SYMPTOM
Engine does not crank.
MALFUNCTION
Loose, damaged, or corroded battery terminals.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
WARNING
DO NOT allow battery acid to contact eyes, skin, or fabric. Upon contact with
eyes or skin, immediately flush with water, apply first aid and obtain medical
attention. DO NOT lean over battery when connecting or disconnecting battery
cables. DO NOT allow negative and positive cables to touch each other. Keep
open flame or sparks away from battery vent holes. ALWAYS wear eye
protection when working with batteries. Failure to comply may result in injury or
death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Visually inspect battery terminals for damage, corrosion, or loose connections (Figure 1).
