Move gearshift lever (Figure 6, Item 4) from 10th gear to 9th gear and release clutch pedal
(Figure 6, Item 1).

Depress accelerator pedal (Figure 6, Item 2) to increase engine speed to match transmission speed.
4.
Depress clutch pedal (Figure 6, Item 1) and move gearshift lever (Figure 6, Item 4) into next lower gear.
5.
Release clutch pedal (Figure 6, Item 1) and operate accelerator pedal (Figure 6, Item 2), as required.
6.
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for downshifting, from 8th gear to 7th gear, and 7th gear to 6th gear. Go to Step 7 for
downshift from 6th gear to 5th gear.
CAUTION
Never move Hi-Lo range control lever when transmission is in Neutral position and vehicle
is moving. Always preselect range shifts before beginning gear-change shift. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
7.
Move Hi-Lo range control handle (Figure 6, Item 3) to down position (L) for transmission low range and
release accelerator pedal (Figure 6, Item 2).
8.
Depress clutch pedal (Figure 6, Item 1) and move gearshift lever (Figure 6, Item 4) from 6th gear into 5th
gear.
9.
Release clutch pedal (Figure 6, Item 1) and operate accelerator pedal (Figure 6, Item 2), as required.
