CORRECTIVE ACTION - Continued
MALFUNCTION
Hydraulic oil cold and/or low.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
NOTE
Hydraulic functions such as winch may be sluggish and/or not operate properly
until fluid has reached correct operating temperature.
1.
Check hydraulic oil level (WP 0199) and service, if required (WP 0219).
2.
If shut down, start engine (Volume 1, WP 0012) and engage P.T.O. (Volume 1, WP 0033).
3.
Run engine and wait to use winch until hydraulic oil sight/temperature gauge (Figure 1) reads a
minimum of 75F (24C) (WP 0199).

4.
While operating winch, increase engine speed (not to exceed 1500 rpm) to increase winch
speed (Volume 1, WP 0033).

If winch speed increases to desired speed, problem solved.
b.
If winch speed does not increase to desired speed, notify maintenance.
