Set gearshift lever (Figure 1, Item 1) to Neutral.

Set DIFF. LOCK switch (Figure 1, Item 3) to On. Light will illuminate.
e.
Set INTERAXLE DIFF. switch (Figure 1, Item 4) to I/A DIFF. Light will illuminate.
f.
Set ALL WHEEL DRIVE switch (Figure 1, Item 5) to ALL WHEEL DRIVE. Light will illuminate.
g.
Set Hi/Low control handle (Figure 1, Item 2) on gearshift lever (Figure 1, Item 1) to down position for
low gear range.
h.
Depress brake pedal (Figure 1, Item 7).
i.
Depress clutch pedal (Figure 1, Item 8).
j.
Set gearshift lever (Figure 1, Item 1) to 1st gear.
2.
Observe the following safety precautions during fording operations:
a.
Do not use seat belts at driver s or passenger stations.
b.
Do not wear field pack, ammunition pouches, etc.
CAUTION
Vehicle must enter water with wheels straight. Failure to comply may result in damage to
equipment.
