Close valve (Figure 3, Item 1) at desander pump to stop flow to desander cones.

Open valve (Figure 3, Item 2) at desander pump to start flow of mud mix.
6.
Open mix hopper valve (Figure 3, Item 4) after flow of mud mix starts.
7.
Turn DESANDER lever (Figure 1, Item 1) to ON position.
8.
Add mud product slowly to mud hopper (Figure 3, Item 3).
9.
Close mix hopper valve (Figure 3, Item 4) when mixing is complete.
10.
Circulate mud mix for 10 to 15 minutes to completely hydrate mixture.
11.
Close valve (Figure 3, Item 2) at desander pump.
NOTE
It is normal for desander cones to discharge a small amount of mud from a fresh batch of
mixed mud.
12.
Open valve (Figure 3, Item 1) at desander pump to start flow to desander cones.
