WARNING
Do not exceed the maximum allowable line pull limit for the 18 K main winch (jib).
The full drum line pull is 17,594 lb (7,981 kg). Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Never operate winch with less than five wraps of cable on winch drum. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
Always wear gloves when handling winch cables. Failure to comply may result in
injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Check the inspection date of all lifting devices. Never use lifting device that has an
expired inspection date. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

With aid of an assistant, install nylon strap (Figure 9, Item 5) to rod handling arm support bracket
(Figure 9, Item 6) and jib cable hook (Figure 9, Item 4).
WARNING
Rod handling support bracket weighs approximately 80 lbs (36 kg). Do not try to lift or
move with out the aid of an assistant or suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may result
in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

With aid of an assistant, push main winch control (Figure 9, Item 3) forward to raise jib cable hook
(Figure 9, Item 4) and rod handling arm support bracket (Figure 9, Item 6).

With aid of an assistant, pull JIB ROTATE/RAISE/LOWER lever (Figure 9, Item 1) to right to turn jib
(Figure 9, Item 2) towards cab.

With aid of an assistant, pull main winch control (Figure 9, Item 3) back and lower jib cable hook
(Figure 9, Item 4) and rod handling arm support bracket (Figure 9, Item 6).
