LOWERING DERRICK - Continued
WARNING
Before raising or lowering derrick, clear all personnel and equipment from all areas
immediately to rear and sides of derrick. Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
CAUTION
Ensure tophead is below arrow on derrick prior to raising or lowering derrick.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Ensure breakout wrench is in outward position prior to lowering derrick. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
Ensure locking pins are fully retracted prior to raising derrick. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.

With aid of assistant, set LOCK PINS switch (Figure 14, Item 5) up to RETRACT and retract two lock pins
(Figure 14, Item 3) to unlocked position.
