POSITIONING DRILL ROD STORAGE CARTRIDGES WITH PENDANT
CAUTION
Make sure automated rod handling arm is in upright position before positioning drill rod
cartridges. Failure to comply may result in damage to the equipment.
1.
Set and hold PIPE ARM ELEVATION switch (Figure 30, Item 1) to RAISE position until automated rod
handling arm (Figure 30, Item 3) is in full upright position.

Set and hold PIPE STORAGE CARTRIDGES DOWN switch (Figure 30, Item 6) to down position to lower
lifting beam (Figure 30, Item 5) to it's lowest position.
CAUTION
Make sure automated rod handling arm is in upright position before positioning drill rod
cartridges. Failure to comply may result in damage to the equipment.
NOTE
When reloading drill rod cartridge, make sure to use inner cartridge first.
3.
Set and hold PIPE STORAGE CARTRIDGES OUTER switch (Figure 30, Item 2) to left position to move
outer drill rod cartridge (Figure 30, Item 4) over lifting beam (Figure 30, Item 5).
4.
Set and hold PIPE STORAGE CARTRIDGES OUTER switch (Figure 30, Item 2) to right position when outer
drill rod cartridge (Figure 30, Item 4) is empty.
