6. ENGINE CONSUMES EXCESSIVE LUBRICATING OIL OR PRODUCES BLACK OR GREY SMOKE
Step 1.
Check for excessive oil in crankcase. Check lubricating oil level with the engine stopped. If
engine has just been stopped, wait approximately 20 minutes to allow oil to drain back to the oil
pan. Engine must be level to check the oil.
If oil level is above F on dipstick, remove oil pan drain plug and drain oil into metal container.
Replace drain plug.
