REMOVAL
WARNING
Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily. Keep fuel away from open flame and keep
fire extinguisher within easy reach when working with fuel. Do not work on fuel system when
engine is hot. Fuel can be ignited when engine is hot. When working with fuel, post signs that
read NO SMOKING WITHIN 50 FEET OF VEHICLE. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel.
NOTE
Position drain pan under fuel/water separator during removal to catch any spilled fuel.
Clean up and dispose of spilled fuel and any contaminated rags IAW local procedures.

Open drain cock (Figure 1, Item 5) and drain fuel from fuel filter cartridge (Figure 1, Item 2).
