SYMPTOM
Engine exhaust color abnormal and/or concentration higher than normal.
MALFUNCTION
Check Engine Telltale illuminated.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Start engine (Volume 1, WP 0012) and verify if Check Engine Telltale is illuminated (Figure 1).

If Check Engine Telltale is illuminated, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Engine fault
code present.

If Check Engine Telltale is not illuminated, proceed to MALFUNCTION - Air filter
excessively dirty and/or restricted.
