COLD WEATHER STARTING PROCEDURES - WATER WELL DRILLING RIG (WWDR) AND WATER WELL
SUPPORT VEHICLE (WWSV)
CAUTION
WATER HEATER switch light may flash when pushed. Do not push switch again if
this happens. The heater will attempt to start by itself three times. If light continues
to flash, notify maintenance. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Do not use ether to start engine. Using ether will void warranty. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
The water heater should be used when temperatures are 0F (-18C) and below.
WATER HEATER switch will light when heater is firing.
Heater will fire when coolant temperature is below 150F (66C), and cycle off
when coolant temperature reaches 185F (85C).
Heater will continue to fire until WATER HEATER switch is off, an error occurs and
WATER HEATER switch light flashes, or the battery voltage drops to 10 volts.

Push top of WATER HEATER switch (Figure 2, Item 1) to On position.
