Set TOP SLIDE switch (Figure 7, Item 5) to right position to move tophead (Figure 7, Item 1) and drill rod
(Figure 7, Item 2) until drill rod is positioned in clamps (Figure 7, Item 3).

Set and hold PIPE POSITIONING ARM CLAMP switch (Figure 7, Item 4) to up position to close clamps
(Figure 7, Item 3) on drill rod (Figure 7, Item 2).
5.
Pull ROTATION control lever (Figure 8, Item 5) back to align drill rod tooling joint (Figure 8, Item 3) with
tophead mounted wrench (Figure 8, Item 2).
