Make sure clamps are in open position before lowering automated rod handling arm.

Push PIPE CLAMP RELEASE ENABLE button (Figure 9, Item 1) and hold PIPE POSITIONING ARM
CLAMP switch (Figure 9, Item 7) to down position to open upper and lower clamps (Figure 9, Item 4), if
required.

Set PIPE POSITIONING ARM ELEVATION switch (Figure 9, Item 6) to LOWER position to lower automated
rod handling arm (Figure 9, Item 3).

POSITIONING DRILL ROD STORAGE CARTRIDGES
CAUTION
Make sure automated rod handling arm is in upright position before positioning drill rod
cartridges. Failure to comply may result in damage to the equipment.

Set and hold PIPE POSITIONING ARM ELEVATION switch (Figure 10, Item 1) to RAISE position until
automated rod handling arm (Figure 10, Item 3) is in full upright position.

Set LIFTING BEAM switch (Figure 10, Item 2) to DOWN position and lower lifting beam (Figure 10, Item 4)
to its lowest position.
NOTE
When reloading drill rod cartridge, make sure to use outer cartridge first.

Set and hold PIPE STORAGE CARTRIDGES OUTER switch (Figure 10, Item 6) to left position to move
outer drill rod cartridge (Figure 10, Item 5) over lifting beam (Figure 10, Item 4).
4.
Set and hold PIPE STORAGE CARTRIDGES OUTER switch (Figure 10, Item 6) to right position when outer
drill rod cartridge (Figure 10, Item 5) is empty.
