2. Replace cotter pin (Figure 6, Item 1). Check condition of shackle (Figure 6, Item 3). Replace shackle (Figure 6, Item 3)
if distorted or cracked.

3. Check screws (Figure 7, Items 1 and 4) for damage.
4. Check the following parts for raised metal, corrosion or damaged painted surfaces: bearing plate (Figure 7, Item 2),
swivel plate (Figure 7, Item 3) and closure ring (Figure 7, Item 5).
5. Inspect three cable assemblies (Figure 7, Item 6) for corrosion, raised metal on ends, cable wires protruding from cable
assembly ends, snapped or broken wires.
