10. Inspect cylinder head lower face warpage
a. Use a straight edge (figure 11, item 1) and feeler gauge (figure 11, item 2) to measure the four
sides and two diagonals of the cylinder head lower face.
b. If the measured values exceed the maximum allowance, the engine must be replaced.
