9. Inspect cylinder body upper face warpage
a. Use a straight edge (figure 10, item 1) and feeler gauge (figure 10, item 2) to measure the four
sides and the two diagonals of the cylinder body upper face.
b. If the measured value exceeds the maximum allowance or if the measured value is less than the
limit, the engine must be replaced.
