8. Remove cylinder head
a. Remove rear (figure 8, item 1) and front hangers (figure 8, item 2).
b. Loosen and remove cylinder head mounting bolts (figure 9, item 1 through 12) slowly, a half turn
at a time, starting with the outside bolts, then working inwards in a circular pattern. Continue
loosening the mounting bolts in sequence until the bolts are hand tight.
c.
Remove mounting (figure 8, item 3) bolts from cylinder head.
