Also make sure the split line (cap to rod) is thoroughly cleaned to prevent trapped con- CAUTION Piston pin bushing damage may result if piston pin is refinished. Do not refinish highly polished or lapped piston pin surface. 27 Piston pin Replace if finish is destroyed or fretting is visible. 28. Piston pin Replace bushings which are excessively worn bushings or scored.
