3. Description
a. The Model K906EWA pump (figs. 1 through 4) i s a 6-inch, self-priming, centrifugal, petroleum pump, close-
coupled to a Continental Model MS330-6065P gasoline engine. A check valve is mounted internally on the suction side
of the pump. The pumping unit is mounted on skids.
b. The pumping unit is equipped with a 24-volt electrical system for starting the engine. A handcrank is also
provided for manual starting.
4. Identification
a. Engine Nameplate. The engine nameplate is, mounted on the side of the engine block near the oil level indicator
rod.
b. The U.S. Army Nameplate. The Corps of Engineers nameplate is mounted on upper left corner of the pump
side of the engine housing and contains normal Corps of Engineers information including stock number, manufacturer,
shipping dimensions and weights, capacity etc.
