INSPECTION
1.
Clean any contamination or remaining gasket material from mating surface of engine block (Figure 12, Item
32). Inspect for cracks between cylinders, pitting, rust, or abnormal wear.

With the aid of an assistant, turn cylinder head (Figure 13, Item 28) over to access its mating surface. Clean
contamination or remaining gasket material from the mating surface of the cylinder head (Figure 13, Item 28).
Inspect for cracks between combustion chambers, pitting, rust, or abnormal wear.
