Batteries disconnected. (WP 0085)
Apron, Rubber (WP 0225, Table 1, Item 2)
REMOVAL
WARNING
Upon removal of terminal clamps, ensure no contact is made with battery terminals. Secure
terminal clamps, cables, and wires away from battery terminals with cable ties as required.
Failure to comply may result in injury or death to personnel.
WARNING
Battery acid (electrolyte) is extremely harmful. Always wear safety goggles and rubber gloves,
and do not smoke when performing maintenance on batteries. Injury will result if acid contacts
skin or eyes. Wear rubber apron to prevent clothing from being damaged. Failure to comply
may result in injury or death to personnel.
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.
Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a
direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
NOTE
Note position of batteries prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

Remove two nuts (Figure 1, Item 1), screws (Figure 1, Item 3), washers (Figure 1, Item 4), and hold down
bracket (Figure 1, Item 2) from two batteries (Figure 1, Item 5) and battery box (Figure 1, Item 6).
