Apply moderate pressure to alternator (Figure 7, Item 1) with prybar, removing slack from belt (Figure 7, Item
9).
4.
While maintaining pressure, and with the aid of an assistant, tighten screw (Figure 7, Item 3), screw (Figure
7, Item 7) and nut (Figure 7, Item 8).
5.
Tighten screw (Figure 8, Item 5) on adjusting bracket (Figure 8, Item 2) and thermostat housing (Figure 8, Item
4).
