MCS WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL - Continued
WARNING
Make sure jack is in stable area and perpendicular to vehicle. If vehicle is in sand or mire, a
platform must be placed under jack to ensure stable condition. Failure to comply may result
in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
CAUTION
Jack placement is critical to avoid damaging vehicle suspension components. Follow jack
placement notes and procedures carefully. Failure to comply may result in damage to
equipment.

Place 8-ton hydraulic jack (Figure 4, Item 4) with handle (Figure 4, Item 3) under spring mounting plate of
axle (Figure 4, Item 2) of tire being replaced.

Raise 8-ton hydraulic jack screw (Figure 4, Item 1) until it contacts spring mounting plate of axle (Figure 4,
Item 2).

Rotate release valve (Figure 4, Item 5) clockwise and use jacking handle (Figure 4, Item 3) to raise MCS
with 8-ton hydraulic jack (Figure 4, Item 4) until wheel and tire assembly (Figure 4, Item 6) can be removed.
