CORRECTIVE ACTION - Continued
a.
If red Recharge! LED illuminates, battery requires charging. Connect trailer brake cable
plug to tow vehicle (Volume 1, WP 0052) and allow trailer break-away system to charge
for 20 minutes. Push TEST button on trailer break-away system (Figure 1) to retest break-
away system. If red Recharge! LED remains illuminated, notify maintenance. If amber,
proceed to step b.

If amber Charging LED illuminates with trailer connected to tow vehicle for longer than 40
minutes, notify maintenance. If amber LED illuminates and trailer is not connected to tow
vehicle, notify maintenance.
