TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
WATER PUMP IS NOISY DURING OPERATION - WWSV
SYMPTOM
Excessive noise from water pump when in operation.
MALFUNCTION
Strainer on suction hose restricted.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
If water tank is partially full with water, operate water pump in reverse (Volume 1, WP 0036) and
attempt to clear strainer on suction hose. Verify if water pump noise persists.
2.
If water tank is empty, proceed to next Malfunction - Hoses require repositioning.
MALFUNCTION
Hoses require repositioning.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Verify if suction hose is fully submerged in water source and vertical height from vehicle is 10 ft.
(3 m) or less.
2.
If hose is not fully submerged, reposition hose until correct positioning is achieved. Verify if
water pump noise persists.
3.
If vertical height of water source from vehicle is more than 10 ft. (3 m), reposition vehicle until
vertical height is less than 10 ft. (3 m). Verify if water pump noise persists.
4.
If hoses and vehicle are in correct position for operation, proceed to next Malfunction 3 - Hoses/
strainers clogged and/or damaged.
