TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
ENGINE OVERHEATS - WWSV
SYMPTOM
Engine cooling system not operating properly.
MALFUNCTION
Engine coolant level low.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Check engine coolant level (WP 0218) and inspect for evidence of coolant leaking.
a.
If there is evidence of coolant leaking, notify maintenance.
b.
If coolant level is low, fill to appropriate level with correct engine coolant (WP 0218). Start
engine (Volume 1, WP 0012) and verify if proper engine cooling is restored.
c.
If coolant level is not low, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Engine oil level low.
MALFUNCTION
Engine oil level low.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Check engine oil level (WP 0204).
a.
If engine oil level is low, fill to appropriate level with correct engine oil (WP 0204). Verify if
proper engine cooling is restored.
b.
If engine oil level is not low, proceed to next MALFUNCTION - Engine fault code present.
