PORTABLE WATER TRANSFER PUMP SHUTDOWN PROCEDURES
CAUTION
Do not run water pump dry. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
1.
Move engine speed adjustment lever (Figure 7, Item 2) to half throttle position and allow engine to cool for 3
minutes at lower speed.

Move engine speed control lever (Figure 7, Item 2) to Off position.
CAUTION
The following step is performed to prevent rust and corrosion from forming on internal parts
when pump is not being used. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
3.
Pull starter grip (Figure 7, Item 1) slowly until resistance is felt, and allow starter grip to recoil.
