To replace an individual brake cable, proceed as follows:
1. Remove cotter pin (figure 10, item 1) and retaining pin (figure 10, item 2).
2. Loosen and remove cable bracket mounting nut (figure 10, item 3).
3. Remove cable clamp (figure 10, item 4).
4. Loosen and remove cable clamp mounting nuts (figure 11, item 1).
5. Remove cable clamp (figure 11, item 2).
6. Remove cotter pin (figure 11, item 3) and retaining pin (figure 11, item 4) attaching cable to clevis
(figure 11, item 5).
7. Remove cable from clevis.
8. Install new cable on clevis (figure 11, item 5) and fasten with retaining pin (figure 11, item 4) and
cotter pin (figure 11, item 3).
9. Install cable clamp (figure 11, item 2) and fasten with mounting nuts (figure 11, item 1).
10. Install cable bracket (figure 10, item 4) on new cable with mounting nut (figure 10, item 3).
11. Fasten cable clamp to spreader with retaining pin (figure 10, item 2) and cotter pin (figure 10, item
1).
