Prime engine fuel pump as follows:
(1) Remove plug (1) from the top of the fuel pump housing (2).
(2) Fill the housing with clean fuel oil.
(3) Re-install plug (1) and tighten the plug to 22 ft lbs (30 N.m) torque.
(4) If the priming plug is hard to remove or the fuel pump is a VS type, remove the fuel supply hose (3) to
the fuel pump.
(5) Fill the fuel pump with clean diesel fuel.
(6) Install the supply hose to the fuel pump.
