Each time acomponent is removed for repair, inspection, or other service; it must be cleaned thoroughly. Makecertain every safety precaution is taken prior to attempting any repair on a tank. Areas of the tank to besubjected to severe heat must be cleaned to the bare metal. Use a stiff, stainless steel, wire brush orother suitable tool for this purpose.
