TM 5-4320-302-14 5-19. ALTERNATOR (CONT) Location/Item Action Remarks 26. Rectifier Test diodes with a multimeter. If one is bad, diodes and replace the entire positive (+) or negative (-) suppressor rectifier diode assembly. Test zener diode in condenser suppressor condenser. Replace if diode is bad. 27. Columix Disconnect columix winding terminals from windings rectifier diode assemblies, and test columix windings for leakage and continuity. Set multimeter to read resistance on the X1 scale. Connect multimeter leads to each pair of the following test points: Point A to point B Point A to point C Point B to point C Point A to point D Point B to point D Point C to point D 5-70
