Do not remove plastic fin assemblyfrom the filter element. Wipe the inside of the bodyassembly clean with a damp cloth.If filter element must be reused, gently tap filterelement against the palm of your hand. Install newfilter element when available.CAUTIONThe slightest break in the air cleaner filterelement will admit enough airborne dirt tocause rapid failure of piston rings.Inspect air filter element for breaks, holes, orAir cleanerdamaged gasket.filter elementis torn or hasbreaks.NOTEFor temporary and quick cleaning, the pleatedpaper air cleaner element can be cleaned bytapping side or end of element carefullyagainst the palm of your hand.2-13
