Check taillight and blackout stoplight bulbs. a.Disconnect intervehicle connector and place in holder. b.Remove lens by removing mounting screws. Remove bulb and check for broken filament. Replace defective bulb. Step 2. Inspect trailer wiring harness for broken wires, deteriorating insulation, or broken contacts. Inspect intervehicle connector for missing contact pins. If necessary, repair or replace harness as described in paragraph 4-45. 4-76
