Muffler
WARNING
Handling hot exhaust shield, exhaust pipe, muf-
fler, and weather cap can cause severe burns.
Allow unit to cool before handling .
Inspect muffler and exhaust heat shield for leaks, excessive
rust, holes, other damage, and loose mounting bolts.
Tighten loose mounting bolts. If muffler or exhaust heat shield is
damaged or excessively rusty, replace as described in para-
graph 4-17 or 4-14.

Severe burns or blindness may result if battery
electrolyte comes in contact with skin or eyes.
Rinse skin and eyes thoroughly with cold
water if in contact with electrolyte.
