Allow unit to cool before handling . Inspect muffler and exhaust heat shield for leaks, excessive rust, holes, other damage, and loose mounting bolts. Tighten loose mounting bolts. If muffler or exhaust heat shield is damaged or excessively rusty, replace as described in para- graph 4-17 or 4-14. 12 Battery Box and Cover WARNING CAUSTIC CHEMICALS IN BATTERIES Severe burns or blindness may result if battery electrolyte comes in contact with skin or eyes. Rinse skin and eyes thoroughly with cold water if in contact with electrolyte. 4-23
