CONNECTING MCS TO WATER WELL DRILLING RIG (WWDR) - Continued
CAUTION
Do not tow without safety chains. Use safety chains to retain towed trailer if trailer
should fail or become disconnected. Failure to comply may result in damage to
equipment.
Make sure to leave sufficient slack during the installation of the safety chains for
vehicle turns but not enough to cause safety chains to come into contact with road
surfaces. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
Make sure breakaway cable is securely coupled to trailer and also to tow vehicle.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Ladder stowage on rear of tow vehicle removed for clarity.

Attach safety chains (Figure 8, Item 4) and breakaway cable (Figure 8, Item 5) from trailer to tow vehicle by
crossing safety chains under lunette to opposite side clevis (Figure 8, Item 3).

Connect trailer brake cable plug (Figure 8, Item 1) to brake cable socket (Figure 8, Item 2).
