Do not put hands near pintle hook while aligning, connecting, or disconnecting
trailer tongue or tow bar. Hands and fingers can be pinched or crushed. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
Always use additional personnel as a guide when connecting or disconnecting
trailer. Guide must not be positioned between tow vehicle and trailer. Failure to
comply may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the

With aid of an assistant, slowly back tow vehicle until lunette (Figure 4, Item 2) and pintle hook
(Figure 4, Item 1) align.
