d. Loosen and remove master cylinder fill cap (figure 6, item 2).
e. Fill the master cylinder with fluid as described in step 1.

WARNING
The hydraulic pressure held in the system may cause the lever to snap back
quickly. To avoid serious injuries, do not place hands between the lever and
cylinder cover.
f.
Loosen the four breakaway mounting bolts (figure 7, item 1) to keep the break-away locks from
restricting the lever motion.
g. Rotate the breakaway lever (figure 7, item 2) forward slowly using small strokes until bubbling
stops inside the master cylinder.
