6. Replace air filter.
NOTE
When the air cleaner element is clogged, air intake resistance becomes greater and
the dust indicator (figure 11, item 1) signal turns red indicating the filter element
requires changing.
a. Loosen and remove clamps (figure 12, item 1).
b. Remove cap (figure 12, item 2).
c.
Loosen and remove filter element wing nut (figure 13, item 1).
d. Remove filter (figure 14, item 1) and clean in an approved container.
e. Install filter element (figure 14, item 1).
f.
Fasten and tighten filter element wing nut (figure 13, item 1).
g. Install filter cap (figure 12, item 2).
h. Install and fasten clamps (figure 12, item 1).
