Loosen coupling (Figure 2-160, 1) that secures tachometer drive cap (2) to
drive adapter (3) and remove tachometer drive cap (2).
When removing tachometer angle drive, be careful not to drop drive shaft into
engine.
Engine damage could result.
b .
Remove two bolts (4), drive adapter (3) (with attached drive shaft (5) and
gear (6)), and gasket (7) from cylinder block.
Discard gasket (7).
c .
Pull drive shaft (5) and gear (6) out of drive adapter (3).
