Tongue jack may be equipped with a double-posted front jack or a front tripod.
If equipped with a front tripod, go to step d.

If equipped with a double-posted front jack, refer to Figure 2-14 and
perform the following:

Disconnect double-posted front jack (6) from travel position by
removing pin (2) and sliding post (4 or 5) from sleeve (3).
Slip upper post (4) over sleeve (3) on front right side of trailer (7).
Turn double-posted front jack (6) to vertical position. Align holes in
p o s t ( 4 ) a n d s l e e v e ( 3 ) . I n s e r t p i n ( 2 ) t h r o u g h h o l e s.
Use turncrank (1) to lower jack (6). Hack trailer (7) to position.
where trailer lunette (Figure 2-13, 1) can be released from pintle
hook (8) on tow vehicle (7).

If trailer is equipped with front tripod, refer to figure 2-15 and perform
the following:
(1) Use turncrank (2) of tripod jack (1) to lower tripod (4).
(2) Raise trailer (Figure 2-15, 3) to position where lunette (5) can be
