AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
4-1. Common Tools and Equipment. Appendix B, Section III contains the authorized common tools. For
authorized equipment, refer to Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) applicable to your unit.
4-2. Special Tools, TMDE and Support Equipment. No special tools, TMDE, or support equipment are required
for the repair of the pump unit at the unit level of maintenance.
4-3. Repair Parts. Repair parts for the pump unit are listed and illustrated in the Repair Parts and Special Tools
List (RPSTL) TM 10-4320-318-24P.
Section II. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
4-4. General. When new, used or reconditioned equipment is first received, it is the responsibility of the person
in charge to determine whether the equipment has been properly prepared for service by the supplying organization
and to be sure it is in condition to perform its function. For this purpose, inspect all assemblies, subassemblies,
and accessories to be sure they are properly assembled, secure, clean and correctly adjusted and/or lubricated.
Check all tools and equipment to be sure every item is present in good condition, clean and properly mounted or
stowed.
4-5. Site Requirements. Select a site that provides ample space to maneuver vehicles that may be used to move
and position a pump unit. Refer to system manual.
4-6. Service Upon Receipt of Equipment.
a.
Visually inspect the pump unit exterior starting at the rear to cover rear, sides, front, top, and bottom.
Inspect for loose, missing, or damaged items. Check for signs of corrosion.
b.
Open noise enclosure access doors and inspect interior for loose, missing or damaged items. Check
for water damage, fungi, mildew, and corrosion.
