REMOVE. (Figure 3-26)
NOTE
Bolt is left-hand threaded.
(1)
Using retainer tool (1), hold crankshaft pulley (2) stationary.
(2)
Turn pulley bolt (3) to the right. Remove bolt (3) and flat washer (4).
(3)
Remove crankshaft pulley (2).
(4)
Remove pulley mounting screws (5) and flat washers (6).
(5)
Remove pulley (2) from damper (7).
b.
INSPECT
(1)
Inspect pulley (2) for cracks and chips. Replace defective pulley.
(2)
Inspect damper shaft for worn or scored surface where engine front sealing ring contacts shaft. Replace
worn or scored damper (7).
(3)
Inspect damper (7) for cracks and chips. Replace defective damper (7).
