REMOVE. (Figure 3-24)
(1)
Remove flywheel bolts (1) and flywheel (2).
(2)
Inspect flywheel (2) and ring gear (3) for cracks and damage.

INSTALL
(1)
Install flywheel (2) on crankshaft (4) with ten flywheel bolts (1).
(2)
Torque flywheel bolts (1) to 22 ft•lbs (29.8 N•m).
(3)
Using angle-of-turn indicator, tighten flywheel bolts (1) 30°.
(4)
Tighten flywheel bolts (1) an additional 30°.
